Hi, I'm Beth. My happy place is on the beach, hiking in the mountains or looking for my ball on the golf course.

About me

I grew up in an Air Force family. I was born in The Azores and lived in several states while growing up. I went to Mascoutah Community High School in Mascoutah IL. For college, I attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Programming.

My first job was with State Farm Insurance Company. After 6 years at State Farm, I married Mike and moved to Hoffman Estates, IL where I worked for First Card in Elgin, IL. I quit First Card when Troy was born. I really wanted to give a generous amount of time in bringing him (and eventually Cale) up. I am so, so thankful that I was able to do that. It is absolutely the hardest job I have ever had (being a stay-at-home mom) but also the most rewarding.

In the past, I have volunteered for Hearts at Home, a Christian organization that promotes motherhood as a profession. I helped to build their Web presence and maintainted their very active website and bulletin board.

I am currently enjoying life as an empty nester as both boys have graduated from college and moved on and away to begin their careers. I'm active in our church with bible studies, volunteering for Healing Rides, and am a youth group leader for 6th and 7th grade girls. I bowl in the winter, play golf in the summer and have been in a Euchre Club with the same ladies for 28 years.

I work as a part-time Website designer at Simply Sennett.

This is a picture that Troy drew some time in elementary school.
